It's a huge 50 GB program that is a security tunnel into which Nuance programs are loaded and we are now required to log in and work in for Emdat and Escript.

It's a very large encasing program that's supposed to keep Nuance platforms safe from cyberattacks, or enable Nuance to locate any potential attacks, trouble spots because they can access and see MTs' computers while working in the program. Probably outside the tunnel as well, although this hasn't been clarified.

That's the unofficial, nontechnical explanation ... as explained to me.

For me, and many others, our computers have been renamed to an Nuance identifier number.
