that leaves little role for transcriptionists because it is not dictation friendly, so not much, if anything, for us to transcribe. I was actually working for a Massachusetts MTSO who had a contract with Partners Healthcare when Epic started to be implemented. The account I was on eventually disappeared after about six months because there was very little dictation. Epic pretty much puts MTs out of business. Luckily, we picked up a very large hospital system in New Jersey, so I was okay for a while.
