I've been thinking the same thing recently. But 20 years ago, we were all being told medical transcription was an honorable and wonderful career path. Funny how the legal world ended up more stable than the medical world :( I've looked into getting into court reporting now, and it's all very depressing, learning something new while not making any money because really you're typing the court reporters' extra work for very little money. Sigh.
