it doesn't mean they're more qualified or have any special training.
I've done QA and only knew what I knew. Same is for every other QA person I know.
They get moved into QA because a manager likes them or talks to them frequently and asks them if they're interested in doing QA.
Most say yes because they think it means they're special lol.
Funny thing is, they're always the first to be let go when companies downsize.
