Sometimes those inexpensive refurbs don't meet specs for today's jobs and security systems.

I'm not just talking about VDI, but Amazon also has strict criteria for computers because they, too, use a VDI.

You almost have to have a new computer to meet all the guidelines.

It's almost impossible to find an MT job outside of the Nuance arena now too, so you almost have to have a new computer.

If you don't have to meet all that criteria then, yeah, a cheap refurb backup is a great idea.
