At this rate, 10 words would yield 0.05 cents, or 5 hundredths of a cent.

Then 100 words would yield 0.5 cents, or half a cent.

Then 1000 words would yield 5 cents.

Unless the job posting has a error with the placement of the decimal, that is definitely not a good rate. Maybe they meant to post it as 0.005 DOLLARS per word? That would pay you $5.00 for 1000 words. That is still not a good rate.

Edited: Actually, depending on your speed, that would not be a horrible rate if they meant dollars instead of cents.
