I see some people say they just claim the standard deduction and others deduct a lot. I am planning on getting a laptop and would dearly like that to be deductible.

I am just starting now and want to get started right away knowing what, if anything, I can claim and how to keep track of it, and also setting aside a good chunk of my pathetic income for SS and income tax before I end up owing.
