use of virgule (/) - NDtran Posted: Aug 16th, 2018 - 3:49 pm
Does anyone know of a guideline where a virgule should be used with abbreviated word forms, but "per" should never be typed out with abbreviated word forms? (example: 2.1 mg/dL--not 2.1 mg per dL).
I was trained to use a virgule with abbreviated word forms, but if one word was spelled out then they all were--2.1 milligrams per deciliter. Didn't know if I could find this guideline anywhere.
Thanks for any help!
