I found this out the hard way too. I called my state UE to find out if I took an early withdrawal of some of my 401K would it stop my UE? He said yes, or they wouldn't know until it happened.
So I took a loan instead, and then I got an email returned from UE which said no, it doesn't affect it. So always get the important stuff in writing if you can.
