The sponsor of the petition is SEIU of Minnesota, MTs for Change must be connected in some way with that union. I'm actually a survey taker and would have gladly completed this until I saw that they were asking for personal information, if I could do something anonymously, I would participate. They may sell e-mail addresses or spam you to death, they also ask for phone numbers. I would love to see wages improve to pre-VR levels and some consistency throughout the industry, but I go back to the 1980s and was an early AAMT member. I remember even then that people were trying to initiate change and we all know what happened. I think that with all the offshore accounts and changes in technology it is probably too late to reverse the trend and truthfully so few people care that it's kind of a lost cause. If inroads are made at all, most of the people currently working will be retired or long gone from this profession, it is rarely a career choice for anyone entering the work force.
