I'll bet there are better jobs in Long Island for someone with the experience of an MT We're more than transcriptionists, with expert knowledge of medical terminology, production skills, self-starters, etc. etc. I certainly can't speak for everyone else, but I would search for a job/career in some other field with a future. How could I ever trust that the in-house MT job wouldn't suddenly one day be turned over to an MTSO or shipped overseas? It just isn't worth it, IMHO. Good luck to you in finding someone. I hope that someone is smart enough to get a contract for a hefty severance package should the company decide to do the offshoring or outsourcing thing.
