DropBox has a free version which is all I needed. Express Scribe Pro is under $50. The free version does not do everything we need. Another player would be GearPlayer. A foot pedal might be up to $75. You may also need Microsoft Word.
Windows 7 is still good. Keep in mind that support for it will end in early 2020 so we all need to be thinking of upgrading next year.
