TAA petition has been approved for Nuance employees and can provide retraining, certain credits such as a health coverage tax credit for medical insurance, allowances for relocation, job search allowance, and various other allowances.
Come to think of it, on the info for TAA for my state it says "you will receive a Request for Determination for Trade Assistance once you are laid off and your name is reported to the state DOL."
I wonder if this is why Nuance is not laying us off, because they don't want us to have access to the TAA benefits. Nothing would surprise me about this company.
