spinal fusion surgery s/l perches or purchase - Sewing-bird

After this was done, we trialed for a third implant, but we felt that the guidewire was very short and very close to the thecal foramina.  There was very little s/l perches or purchase for this last implant.

I have typed this before, years ago, and cannot remember which is correct.  I think it is purchase but am not sure.

I tried bing, google, Stedman's ortho and nothing - or I missed it. SOOOO tired - at it since 1 PM nonstop!
