I can understand that. I have been in health information for 40 years as well, although just over 30 in transcription. After getting laid off from my latest MT job I have left MT for now. I have several other things going on in my life currently including a part-time job outside the home so I am content, not making as much money, but I still miss transcription the way it "used to be", really good money and challenging work. I know those days are over. I won't say I will never go back to it if the right job came along, but for now I am done.
