Sounds very much like when Nuance had the massive malware attack last summer, but of course things didn't come back up for weeks. I don't know if it happened to individuals, or just the company and hospital computers though. Can you imagine being a doc in the ER and all of sudden the entire hospital has a computer blackout? It would be worth making sure your antivirus/antimalware protection is adequate and updated.
