Not worth the extra cpl IMO - SM

Posted: Feb 20th, 2018 - 11:52 am In Reply to: Patient First Radiology/back dictation MTs - KC

I was there a little while a few years ago. It is a very small department. The radiology is super easy and enjoyable, but there's not enough to make the rest of it worthwhile. Maybe it's because I don't have a clinic background, but IMO the back dictation was awful, 95% ESL, providers from all their centers, and typing in their DOS-based "EMR" was very clunky and no shortcuts to speak of, maybe some function keys you could program. It took me much longer than 8 hours to get my lines in. Rotating weekends and not as much flexibility as the other side of PF. Maybe it's changed for the better since my time there, but I kind of doubt it. Benefits better than any MTSO by a long shot, though. Good luck to you.
