Oldtimer here. After you complete the Remedy ticket, you decide either to make up the time or request PTO. If you request PTO, you put in a leave request for the hours remaining in your shift.
If you decide to make up the time, usually the policy is that you can do so at any time on the same day of your shift, checking back periodically, before midnight.
If you make up the time on a different day (after midnight), you then need to request those hours through Work Force on the day you want to make up the time. This may differ slightly according to your team and supervisor, but that is the basic policy.
It really is complicated. Just putting in a Remedy ticket and adding the time into Work Force is complicated.
