The zero blanks policy is exceedingly unfair. In a very long report, there could be just one blank and all lines are counted toward the percentage. I usually cry out of frustration when that happens because I know what it means for my paycheck. Oftentimes, and more often than not, blanks are due to poor dictating practices. We are in such a lose-lose situation with this. I wish I had any tips, but all I can do is sympathize. Nuance dings us no matter which way we turn and there is really no way around it.
