The last time I received a Christmas gift from an employer was about 10 years ago and it was a multiflavored popcorn tin, which was very nice. Of course, it had the company logo on it so they could write it off as a marketing cost.
I have never received any monetary bonuses, not even when I was an employee. At that time I was earning very good money, so I really didn't think much about it. Now, unfortunately, I could use every penny someone would like to drop into the donation bucket.
