USA MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION...Insurance Transcription - Curious

Hi.. I was offered a position with this company to type insurance and legal documents.  They pay 1.50 per page with increase up to 2.50 after 90 days.  I've never been paid per page.  Is this a reasonable rate and can you make decent money?
