Used Google for MT, plugged in saber incision, and saber-cut incision came up, which is used for rotator cuff surgery. Also found in Stedman's Surgery words under incision (saber-cut). I imagine the dictator just left out the word 'cut', so if you're doing verbatim, I would too.
