You enter it into your time card with a note saying HIPAA training. We also do ISO training once a year and that is compensated. I am not sure if it is different for new hires but we change the time card entry from production hours to continuing education. I think new hires are compensated at $10/hr. The rest of us are compensated at a rate HR has come up with based on our individual average lines per hour, which they update periodically.
