We're all subject to not being paid as ICs with no recourse. It's very scary to take a new job with these small MTSOs because most of them are mom and pop organizations that can't fund payroll if they're not paid.
I've seen this happen so many times over the years. I had a friend who worked for a company out of Charlotte who had check after check bounce. I don't think she ever got all of her money.
I panic if my money is late even a day. I wish you luck. It's NOT the client's responsibility. It's the MTSO's responsibility even if they DON'T GET PAID. Makes me so mad.
