A very well-written and reassuring post, thank you! - Hayseed Posted: Nov 30th, 2017 - 9:52 am In Reply to: Cannot make any promises, but.... - LDSMT
I am apprehensive as well. I am not scared per se, because I have been to hell and back in my personal life, so I know how bad bad can get, but being a type "A" as most of us are, not having all the details known in advance does come with a little bit of stress.
I also know I like being able to work remotely from anywhere and not be beholden to an actual brick-and-mortar place of employment...or way of life in general.
I have backup plans if this choice doesn't pan out, but I don't want to fall back on them at this point in my life if I can help it. I have learned the hard way how unpredictably short our life can be, so any time I can get away from a cubicle, or the confines of a daily commute, I am down for it.
Your words are very reassuring this transition may not be as horrible as some others make it seem. Thank you for that. :)
