I'm 52 as well and sitting here today absolutely disgusted with what this "career" has become and hating this work. You hit the nail on the head. We can't win no matter what we do. I'm sorry for the loss of your parent and what you must have had to go through. I too loved this job and felt like it fit me to a T, but I also feel it's time to move on, but what to do at this age? Go to school again? Work at the grocery store? I just keep putting off taking action because I just don't know which direction to go, but every day I just simmer with anger and take the crap. I'm right there with you!
