So I don't know the answer to your question, but there is a forum at NCH for it that isn't very active, but might be worth posting your question on (link below).
Since you purchased it, I wouldn't hesitate asking for Technical Support also. (link for that on the site)
I did just download the trial out of curiosity, and not sure if would help you, but the shortcut to add a new expansion is Ctrl Shift S. Found by hovering over the Add (green plus sign) button.
