and my pay was significantly cut. I just couldn't keep up with my bills.
No regrets. It was mostly credit cards and medical. I'm way too poor to have assets. I kept my car, which was financed, was a renter, and have been rebuilding credit since.
You'll get many car finance offers immediately upon discharge. You can also get some credit cards with very small limits.
I do believe, though, that it's had an effect on my car insurance rates.
I was being threatened garnishment and just couldn't go down that road with already low pay.
