Tried in the past, and did not work because MModal is very smart and has us spread all over the country with no way of knowing who any of us are. Even if you send an email to someone on this board, if you respond to that email in an email, they see who you are.
Now, it's been too long. Union representation takes money...lots of money. At this point, you're asking people who are making minimum wage to pay anywhere from $100-$500 a month for union representation.
Plus, unions can't reverse an "industry standard." The new industry standard is to outsource to other countries.
And, employees have to be willing to go on strike (without pay, knowing they could ultimately lose their jobs). Most of us can't afford to go on strike, and going on strike will just make MModal move more accounts overseas.
This is a great thought. Unfortunately, it should have been done 15 years ago when we saw the writing on the wall.
