Unfortunately, Chrome and SH do not mix. Chrome made an "update" about three to four months ago that when using SH, the enter key looks like a "virus" to Chrome and it disables it. I had this same problem and had to start using Internet Explorer as a browser. Things have been fine ever since. I don't particularly care for IE, but at least my expander works within it.
