PayPal charges a VERY small fee to you, the payee, depending on the type of transfer. If it is sent "friends and family" you get your money with NO fee. My father sent me money a few months ago after the hurricane and did not send it "friends and family" so I ended up incurring a fee of around $3.00. Also, if you install the PayPal app on your phone you can transfer your money from your PayPal account to your bank account and it is there the NEXT day and NO fee!
Another thing you can do is to get a PayPal debit card. Free and you can use it just like a regular bank debit card!
