Keep transcribing because editing will not pay well - MT

I tried giving up a straight typing job twice for editing. My wages fell to a third or even less than what I was making. I ran back to my straight typing job and the second time I was tempted, I overlapped jobs and after a small amount of time went back to my straight typing job. I am holding onto that one for dear life. It was a difference between 500 to 700 a week (depending on the dictators and work) on my straight typing job down to 200 or 250 a week editing and that was doing a lot of work. Please think twice. Overlap if you must but don't jeopardize a solid income. At 3 cpl or 4 cpl it takes a lot of lines to make up for that lost pay and guess what, you do more work editing than transcribing. You may as well delete the document and type it. Then, you've given yourself a huge paycut by transcribing at 3 or 4 cpl. Good luck to you.
