I was on an account that went on Epic. There was a burst of work before the switch while they tried to get everything caught up and then nothing. I asked the supervisor why we did not receive more warning and she said that Epic can be utilized in different ways. Some hospitals will require their docs to make the switch completely and no longer use transcription and some accounts will use a hybrid approach, where some things are dictated and some are done solely on the program.
