I worked on a contract where a particularly difficult dictator would be left for me to do by the in-house staff. I was the only contractor in the service who did French work, so I was punished for being uniquely qualified. I was paid on production, paid less than the in-house staff. When you are paid hourly, it should not matter so much if the work is difficult or not as you are not financially penalized for it. It was incredibly frustrating.
