A Similar - Situation

A similar situation in an unrelated field of truck driving happened not too long ago... A truck company owner was getting upset with some of the drivers not cleaning out their trucks regularly and washing them, so he applied a "rule" that if the drivers did not wash their trucks once a week, he would take $112 per week out of their checks. An upset driver reported him to the DOL for this practice, and it was determined this was not a legal process, so the "rule" was recanted, and the drivers retained their pay. It wouldn't hurt to at least try reporting it. Punitive QA should not be legal at all! Mistakes happen, and that is QAs job to find the errors and fix them...not punish those who made the errors.
