You can do a couple of things. (If you're waiting for motivation, it probably isn't going to happen.) HOWEVER, you can make this easier on yourself.

1. Get a countdown to...clock. You set it for whatever event you want, in your case, your retirement date.

2. Or, get a regular paper calendar that you would use strictly for counting down the days. (Set it up so each day is less than the one before. 90 days left, 89 days left, 88 days, etc.)

I did both: Had a clock that (at the time) started at 494 days, and each day, the number would get less and less. When I got to 90 days, I did the paper calendar thing. Trust me, each day you see a smaller number, the easier your day will go!
