So, the MTSO with which I'm currently an IC has announced that one of my oldest clients is switching to VR. And yay me I get to spend my spare time with unpaid training.
Using Emdat Inscribe. Haven't started training yet.
Does anyone with VR editing experience have any GOOD news about it?
I know the idea is that since we are not having to type everything, we should be able to buzz right through documents and end up earning the same $$. Guess I'll have to toss all my current autocorrects out.
A document with 6035 VBC pays me $12.84 (47 VBC = 10¢)
Same document has 7241 Characters but VR will pay me $2.78 (65 Cha = 2.5¢). I'll have to edit 4.6 documents in the same time to earn the same pay. Is this how it truly works in the real world of VR editing once you have editing figured out?
