For all who work IC - Question

How do you figure out what amount to pay in for your state, federal, SS and Medicare, and after you have done all that do you have any money left for your own considering how low IC pay is these days.  

I've looked it up, but I'm still confused.  I need a part-time job and all that's left is IC at 3 cents a line.
