Curious to know if this has become a trend - being almost hired and then losing contact with contractor for long enough to realize you don't have a job after all. Test, telephone interview, emails about schedule and then nothing or training which never stops only to find out you covered a vacationing MT or perhaps no contract presented to sign but being encouraged to begin production. If this is the case, it would also cause me to ponder if this is targeting individuals as a form of a coy ploy in retaliation in our now very small industry, consolidated and merged into a monopoly of internationals who perhaps have the same shareholders and bid accordingly in unfair competition methods. I sure hope not. A reward should be offered for information leading to the conviction of such persons who would commit such a heinous act which can ruin a person financially, and send them into the literal gutter. Perhaps those who have filed CALS or came onto this site and vented.
