How about just not taking a job at low pay? that works out better. You agreed to work at that wage so you need to do your job. If they lose the account, you can only blame yourself for not pitching in to help. You wont get a higher wage that way. If you do get on to help, maybe JUST MAYBE they will see you EARNED a higher wage and may give you a raise.
