TAA - Laid Off

Posted: Oct 12th, 2017 - 7:57 am In Reply to: TAA please help - hobbyhorse

I'm a TAA recipient, laid off in 2016. I'm in CA. On our UE website, there are TAA application forms. I submitted those to start the process. I checked online for your state laworks.net and didn't find forms but if you search TAA, instructions say to apply at a Job Center. Same website has a link to find the Job Center in your area. UE and TAA work together but separate in CA. It might be like that in your state. If your UE office has a "Special Services" department, try them. It was a process to get the ball rolling but worth the effort. I'm in school and receive TAA/UE benefits while training. I hope this helps and good luck!
