That doesn't pay the bills though... And in Florida, if you get 3 months severance, that is taxed as "non-earned-income", which knocks it down to 2 months of pay, but you can't claim unemployment until that 3rd month is done... So that's a whole month with ZERO income. Plus while you're in school you'd have no income as well.
