gut instincts. They are trying to tell you something. I know nothing of this company, but usually when there is a "name" that you cannot identify anywhere, it is because they have changed their name from something else probably less reputable. From what little is stated of the "contract" here, I surely would not be in all fired hurry to sign on. It sounds like they just know you are going to leave early and they want to keep as much of what you "earned" as possible. If you are still unsure, have an attorney look at the contract first. Even if you call the company, I doubt they are going to reveal anything to you that they have not already told you. Don't trust them. Good luck to both of you.
