I'm on unemployment in Georgia. I don't know if states handle this differently, but, like you, I have to report any earnings, and what they pay me is reduced by that amount.
In Georgia, the number of weeks one is eligible for unemployment is determined by the state's unemployment rate, which I guess is low by national standards; therefore, I'm eligible for only 14 weeks of UE. I'm told that no extensions will be permitted.
