If I understand it correctly, in the first few days of his presidency, P. Trump issued an executive order that stated that the IRS can not penalize someone for not having health insurance. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I'm quite sure this is what I heard, and some of my family who are uninsured heard it as well, and were rejoicing over it.. I would be extremely disappointed if this is not true. So, why would you need proof of health insurance in order to complete your taxes. Is it not true? Is the tax software or method you are using in need of updating?
