Wow! I kinda wish I came across these posts about Nuance before I started working for them a few months ago! I have had good luck so far with QA scores between 99-99.6%, but this week, unless I get at least 2 more 100% postaudit jobs (which I doubt), I will not be so fortunate :( But, I am still extremely lost on QC% and how that is calculated. I am trying to get a grasp on understanding HIPAA. Does anyone have any suggestions where I can find "easy-to-understand" HIPAA rules? I have a doct that I type his documents in Word and print them to letterhead for him and then hand-deliver them myself to his office. Is this breaking HIPAA rules? I think it is safe to say that we can expect even worse sound quality now that the doctors are using a dictation app. I can say I have already noticed this on my accounts. For those who work with echo dictation - from what I understand, it's useful for straight transcribing, but does it work in VR? I'm thinking of investing in it, but can't understand how it would be useful in a VR program, which is where everything will be in just a few years.
