Cirrhosis help - MSmt

Posted: Apr 22, 2010

This is in an Op Note for a rectum excision.

"The fatty tissue was dissected off the sigmoid circumferentially so that there would be s/l cirrhosis, as well as approximation without a layer of fat between the s/l cirrhosis."

Both words clearly sound like cirrhosis but I cannot find a reference to anything that makes sense since this has nothing to do with the liver.  Help if you can please.
