This con artist is using indeed.com to advertise for MTs. They use various cities, state the job is for a F/T MT to be paid $13 to $15 per hour. They do not list a phone number or address, but list a legitimate business Web site. This one used nestrealty.com (legit and has nothing to do with the scammer) and a legit realtor's name Marjorie Adam who is in VA. I quit working for On-Time Transcription due to VR and lack of income; also the fact they sold to Accentus. I get emails almost daily where QA is complaining about this or that. Does anyone know of a legal recourse for work injuries caused by company equipment? A market leader, at-the-time generous transcription company sent me an old fashioned monitor, which after years of looking at it caused ocular saccades (lateral jitter of eyes). Also, they downgraded to cheap earphones with a solenoid in them that thumped, decreasing hearing permanently, evidently, in the solenoid fitted side of the headset. we're told internet outage is not acceptable reason not to work and to find alternative such as WiFi, etc. in a not so nice tone. My company has begun, one by one, sending accounts overseas. We only have one account left being typed by those of us in the US, and I imagine that one is going over there soon. They lie to us about where the work is going or tell us that there's just not a lot coming in. But MT's can go into each job typed and also see the amount of work coming in. I'm just sayin....as a radiology MT in this company for 14 years...we have always sent radiology reports straight through to the docs to review and sign (because of turnaround time)....never knew they did QA until I got new accounts 2 years ago....and have had some pretty bad foreigners. Just wondering about the sending of blanks. I had a few blanks due to inaudible dictation. I know QA wouldn't be able to get it either, but when I uploaded the job the QA box was checked and I tried to uncheck it and it wouldn't let me. Are they kidding? Who is going to be sending ANYTHING to QA and take a chance of having their pay cut? Especially if it's the beginning of the work week! I feel that I flag a lot and send to QA a lot.
