Instant Text & EXText - Quit working - Linda

I've been using IT with EXText for Word on the same clients for many months without any problems until it quit working last night. It still works with every other program I tried to use it with, except EXText. Went to the IT forum who offered suggestions but none worked. Any ideas? Thanks.
When you have an issue with a client application - MMK
[ In Reply To ..]do the following: Open both applications, Instant Text and the client application. Then make sure you have the focus in the client application.
Now watch the circle next to Instant Text on the Instant Text title bar.
- If it does not, please check whether you have Webroot or Constant Guard on your computer. You will need to uninstall them.
If you see expansions and they don't expand, please check your marker selection options.
- 1. Check whether you are running the client application as administrator. If so, close Instant Text and run it as administrator as well.
2. Check the Client Configurator to see whether the box “Use Instant Text With This Application” is checked. It needs to be checked.
For any issue that might prevent you from using Instant Text with your client application, please contact us to help you find the solution.
Known issues
Keyboard shortcut conflicts:
M*Modal uses Ctrl+9 to activate voice files - Instant Text uses Ctrl+9 to toggle off automatic capitalization.
Infraware uses Ctrl+1 to start automatic numbering - Instant Text uses Ctrl+1 to switch to Glossary #1.
Solution: In the Instant Text Options/Special Keys window select Shift+Ctrl+Digit under Glossary Keys.
DocQscribe (Fluency) uses Ctrl+Space as "play" command - Instant Text uses Ctrl+Space to erase last word.
Solution: Open the Client Configurator while you are in this platform and check the box "Disable Control Space For Current Focus"
Docking:
Futurenet, EditScript, and Assistmed
Solution: With certain client applications such as these you may want to toggle off docking (Ctrl+/+D). You can position
Instant Text so it looks docked, and IT will remember its position.

[ In Reply To ..]This wasn't a problem with IT but caused by a typo which changed settings after I apparently hit ^/L instead of ^L to send something to QA. That oommand (typo) checked the option to "suspend linking" which stopped IT from working in ExText for Word. So, very easy fix that I never would have figured out on my own. Thanks Marianne at IT for resolving this issue within the first 5 minutes. IT 7 Pro has been a great and very stable program.

Anyone have any good websites for Instant text tutorial or questions? I did read through productivity talk and did find what I needed. I have not used this software in years. I use autotext, but I would like to use the line counting software that comes wtih IT. I am trying to figure out a short cut to copying text, right clicking on IT , clipboard statistics, and logging each note. Any thoughts on how to do this with keystrokes and NOT the mouse? Just wondered about what you all think is the best expander to use with VR. I used to use Shorthand up to a couple of years ago and now work with Instant Text. It seems to me that Shorthand is very very popular with the VR crowd. Does anyone use Instant Text successfully with VR? The version of IT I have (V Pro) does not have the recording functions and the ability to use shortcuts (like Alt+ and Control+) like Shorthand does.
