Maine-Based Level II MT for Meditech

DeVenture Health Partners is a dynamic, growing company focused on delivering medical transcription and technology management solutions to the healthcare industry. We are seeking highly motivated and professional individuals to fill the positions of medical transcriptionists. These positions will be home-based and directed from our offices in Canton, OH and Bangor, ME.

Responsibilities

• Full time MTs are required to type a minimum of 1200 lines per day, five days per week in order to maintain their full-time status and benefits package.
• Must have ability to problem-solve basic IT issues, and utilize current medical web sites and maintain medical reference books in order to locate unfamiliar medical terms or drug names.
• Must maintain a separate transcription work area and ensure an appropriate level of confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Must maintain an ergonomically correct office in order to ensure a safe work environment. (DVHP will verify this set-up prior to hire date).
• Must maintain computer equipment including anti-virus protection as well as current Microsoft Offices programs in order to perform work as necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum of two plus years of experience in medical transcription with ability to type 1200 lines per 65 characters per day (characters + spaces + carriage return).
• Must be available five days per week. Positions are available Sun – Thur, Mon – Fri, Tue – Sat , as well as split shifts.
• Level II must have acute care experience and able to type in all hospital work types. Experience on HIM systems is preferred (CPSI, Meditech, Chart Script)
• Must have access to high-speed internet
• Intermediate computer literacy and troubleshooting
• Basic Network/Internet experience
• Basic VPN usage and experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Word 2003
• Attention to detail is a must! Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
• Familiar with AAMT Book of Style, with strict adherence to policy and procedures outlined therein.
• Minimum quality level of 98%
